Studio Edwin van der Heide researches relations on the intersection between sound, space and interaction. By extending musical composition and musical language into spatial, interactive and interdisciplinary directions, their work results in installations, performances and environments that challenge the audience to actively explore and interact with the works.

Media Technology lecturer and researcher Edwin van der Heide is also an artist and composer. He runs the studio besides his employment at Leiden University. Much overlap exists between the research within the studio and Edwin's work at the university.
