Ph.D. track at the International Institute of Air and Space Law
Since the beginning of 2004, the International Institute of Air and Space Law has operated an externally financed Ph.D. programme, in addition to its existing programme. Qualified candidates must write a dissertation on a subject, approved by the College of Promotions and acceptable to the Institute's teaching staff. The programme - Flexibility and structure
The PhD programme is particularly tailored towards candidates who require flexibility in the programme, yet understand the appeal of a structured programme. We offer flexibility in that it is only necessary to be in Leiden whenever supervision, conferences or special courses require it. All PhD candidates are supervised by a full Professor from Leiden University. Candidates may also be assigned a second or co-supervisor. From 1 January 2012 all candidates are requested to sign a Supervision Plan and Admission Agreement in consultation with their supervisor. For more information, click here. The Leiden University PhD Regulations can be accessed here. There is a PhD fee of 15.000 euro (one-time fee).
