Current Projects
DigiTaalkit – Online platforms for the study of and research on Manchu and Hittite. Other languages might follow. Léon is responsible for all the technical aspects, including development, server management, deployment and testing.
Biography
After obtaining a degree in Computer Science, Léon worked for several agencies as a software developer mainly specializing in distributed, scalable (web) applications in Python, Java and PHP. After a short period in China, he joined Leiden University as a student of Chinese Studies.
Léon is now a freelance developer with projects of several large companies in his portfolio, including Leiden University. Together with Fresco Sam-Sin he developed the first version of Manc.hu, which has been incorporated into the DigiTaalkit project. With the addition of Hittite to DigiTaalkit and several other DH-projects that are up and coming, Léon has his work cut out for him.
