Extracurricular
An important component of this master consists of extracurricular activities.
During this programme, you will have the opportunity to participate in a number of extracurricular activities that will enhance your studies, such as:
- A day long trip to Den Haag and Haarlem with visits to museums and other historical landmarks.
- Later, in the spring, the students took a cycling route and visited a farm and the villages surrounding Leiden.
- On graduation week, the students got together for a final trip to one of the Wadden Islands – Terschelling – in the north of The Netherlands.
- In addition to the outings, a Christmas dinner and a gift exchange was organised to encourage interaction amongst the students.
- In addition, throughout the year, six student national dinners were organized, in which a group of students from one country or geographical region cooked typical foods for their classmates to sample and taste.
Great efforts were made to help the students find a job.
- The main event for this purpose was a job fair organized in February 2015 in which several headhunters, Big Four and law firm representatives participated and in which job interviews were held throughout the day.
- In addition, the students had a day trip to the main offices of EY Amsterdam, for a day-long networking and recruiting event, which led to several students receiving job offers with the company.
- Besides this, seminars on CV drafting and job research strategy were held during the academic year in order to explain to the students how to write their CV and approach a job interview properly.
