  • Alessandra Silvestri received an ERC Consolidator grant for large-scale gravity research.
  • Amanda Foks received a grant from the Dutch Heart Foundation for research on treating atherosclerosis with an anti-inflammatory drug.
  • Peter Grünwald received an ERC Advanced Grant for his research into the development of a new, revolutionary theory of statistics.
  • Rob van Wijk received a grant from the US National Institutes of Health (NIH) together with the Preclinical Design and Clinical Translation of TB Regimens consortium for research into better tuberculosis medicines.
  • Hermen Overkleeft received the Roy L. Whistler International Award 2024 from the International Carbohydrate Orgasation for his contribution the field of carbohydrate chemistry and biochemistry.
  • Carlo Beenakker has been appointed a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), mainly because of his pioneering work on electrical conduction in nanostructures.
  • Marta Fiocco and her team received a KWF grant to treat Ewing sarcoma with the help of an app.
  • Jos Raaijmakers was appointed as new scientific member of the KHMW.
  • Elena Maria Rossi received a Vici for her research on small black holes.
  • Aline de Almeida Vidotto received a Vici for her research on the interaction of stellar radiation and winds with the leaking atmospheres of exoplanets.
  • The Advanced Nano-electrochemistry Institute Of the Netherlands (ANION), led by Marc Koper, received Gravity funding for research in new efficient electrochemical technologies.
  • The Institute for Chemical Neuroscience (iCNS), led by Mario van der Stelt, received Gravity funding for developing a 'brain atlas' of psychiatric symptoms and developing entirely new approaches to improve the diagnosis and treatments of psychiatric syndromes.
  • Anne Wentink received Gravity funding with her research project FLOW to understand the cell's quality control process in a way that the knowledge can be used to cure and prevent diseases, such as Alzheimer's, parkinson's, cystic fibrosis and haemophilia.
  • Roeland Merks received a Gravity funding with his research project Green Tissue Engineering (GreenTE) to develop new strategies to improve the propagation and immunity of crops.
