Interdisciplinary teaching is becoming more important every year. By combining insights from different disciplines, lecturers can provide students with multiple perspectives to create societal impact. Whether you have already started teaching in interdisciplinary programs, are planning to do so, or just want to know more about the potential and challenges of this type of teaching, this workshop is for you!

Toolbox for interdisciplinary education

After an inspirational Knowledge CafĂ© co-organized by ICLON and the Leiden Teaching Academy and a creative and interactive session by education advisors from LLInC, the Young Academy Leiden (YAL) is organizing its third workshop on this topic. This time, you can learn about the inspirational work that has been going on at Utrecht University.

Utrecht University developed different tools for interdisciplinary education to help you navigate the complexities of designing, delivering, and evaluating interdisciplinary education. During this interactive workshop, Jessica Oudenampsen and Timothy Bland will guide you through their experiences and their toolbox and put you to work to select appropriate learning objectives, activities, and assessment methods for your (future) interdisciplinary education programs or courses to shape and guide your students' interdisciplinary learning journey.
