Professional experience

Willie Jones B. Saliling is an instructor at the College of Engineering and Computing, University of Southern Mindanao (USM), Kabacan, Mindanao, Philippines. He teaches environmental, biosystems, and rural infrastructure engineering. He earned his bachelor’s degree in agricultural engineering from USM in 1997. He completed his Master of Science in Biological and Agricultural Engineering at North Carolina State University, Raleigh, NC, USA in 2005. He is registered in the Philippines as a Professional Agricultural Engineer. He has special interests on nutrient dynamics in biological and environmental systems as well as the role of engineers in rural sustainability. He is presently working on his PhD research on water resource and nutrient dynamics in upland agricultural systems in Northeast Luzon, Philippines under the framework of Louwes Fund -Research on Water and Food.
