The research of Dr. Stephan Verschoor focuses on cognitive, developmental and computational, mechanisms of human action control and how they relate to the (emerging) phenomenal self. Beside his research, he is coordinator for the DFG priority program on “The Active Self”.
Dr. Stephan Verschoor studied psychology at Leiden University, from which he received his MA degree (Diploma) and PhD . Then he moved to the LMU in Munich (working with Prof. Markus Paulus and Prof. Beate Sodian) and Uni Bremen (working with Prof. Marco Schmidt) for post-doctoral positions.
Research by Dr. Stephan Verschoor
His research focuses on cognitive, developmental and computational mechanisms of human attention and action control, and how they relate to the (emerging) phenomenal self. He uses mainly eye-tracking and virtual reality as his research methods.
