Nikkie Buskermolen is a PhD candidate at the Institute of Cultural Anthropology and Development Sociology. Her research examines the morality of bureaucracy, finance and care within health insurance in the Netherlands. This project is part of the ERC funded project Moralising Misfortune: A Comparative Anthropology of Commercial Insurance.

Nikkie previously worked as a lecturer at the Institute of Cultural Anthropology and Development Sociology (Leiden University). She holds a MA and BA in Cultural Anthropology and Development Sociology (Leiden University).

Project title: Bureaucracy, Finance and Health care: An Ethnography of Health Insurance in the Netherlands.
