Research

Within the ERC-Project "The linguistic past of Mesoamerica and the Andes", I investigate the languages of the Intermediate Area and their external relations, with a special focus on Chibchan languages. My work centers on the reconstruction of elements of Proto-Chibchan and their subsequent comparison with respective elements of other indigenous languages of the Americas.
