Linlin Shang is a PhD student at the Cognitive Psychology Unit, Leiden University under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Bernhard Hommel. Her PhD project, funded by China Scholarship Council, aims to clarify the relationship between conscious and unconscious processing versus the two poles of metacontrol state (i.e., persistence and flexibility). Her current work particularly focuses on unconscious processing and metacontrol toward flexibility in creative problem solving.
