Lianne Baars is a Meijers PhD Candidate with the Grotius Centre for International Legal Studies. She obtained her LL.B and LL.M in Public International Law at Leiden University, pursuing part of her undergraduate degree at Sciences Po in Paris, France. She also obtained an LL.M in Global Environment and Climate Change Law at the University of Edinburgh. Her PhD research is titled ‘Climate Change before International Human Rights Courts and Bodies: Towards Procedural Justice’. The project focusses on the procedural challenges that are encountered when bringing climate change cases to international human rights institutions
