She has completed her bachelor in Plant Sciences Wagening University and Research her master in Biology, Biodiversity & sustainability at Leiden University.  Her first Master thesis was about 'Soil biodiversity in European ash (Fraxinus excelsior) with and without ash dieback in Amelisweerd' & her second thesis about 'The effects of niche breadth on the response of waterfowl to landscape change in the Northeast China Plain'.
