The project is to build models for durations, with as a particular application the time to return to work of an unemployed individual. This will help the UWV (the administrative authority that implements employee insurances and provides labour market and data services) to assist individuals in their search for a job.
Marta Fiocco, professor in the Mathematical Institute, has signed an agreement with the UVW in July 2016 (see photo). The project is carried out by PhD student in statistics Sanne Willems.
