We are using functional genomics to identify the genes and pathways involved in regeneration of kidney tissue following ischemic renal injury. Our approach is to apply functional genomics screening to 3D renal organoid cultures to identify genes and pathways involved in epithelial morphogenesis and proliferation and regeneration. This approach is combined with a proteomic analysis of proximal tubule epithelial cells following hypoxia.
