Annual report shows upward trend at the Faculty of Governance and Global Affairs
A record number of new students who can expect good career prospects after graduation. The 2024–2025 Faculty Annual Report of FGGA shows positive results. Vice-Dean Maarja Beerkens is proud and grateful.
The annual report shows that education at FGGA is doing well, with a strong focus on innovation. New ideas and initiatives have been launched, including the new bachelor’s programme Cybersecurity & Cybercrime. Student numbers are also on the rise, with a record number of new students.
Preparation for the labour market
In recent years, all FGGA programmes have also worked hard to improve preparation for the labour market. This has included closer collaboration with alumni by involving them in education, as well as partnerships with public institutions as external clients.
As a result, students complete their studies more quickly and move into suitable positions sooner. 'Compliments to our students for their motivation and perseverance,' said the Vice-Dean.
Challenges
The challenges are also acknowledged. Artificial intelligence (AI) has had a major impact on education and, according to the Vice-Dean, will remain one of the biggest challenges in the coming years. Assessment methods, for example, will need to be reconsidered.
'We would like to thank everyone who has contributed to this,' said Vice-Dean Maarja Beerkens.
