First two Rwandan PhD students in Leiden thanks to Heineken scholarship
In the month of November, two Rwandan PhD students visited Leiden to study full time for a month.
A total of seven lawyers work on their thesis in Rwanda supervised by Leiden professors. This project is supported by Heineken, which offers two scholarships a year during four years.
This year, Cyridion Nsengumuremyi and Felix-Aimable Majyambere were the first to come to the Netherlands. The subject of Cyridion Nsengumuremyi’s dissertation is: 'Protection against Sexting for Rwandan adolescents' (supervisors: Prof. Simone van der Hof and Prof. Ton Liefaard) and the subject of Felix-Aimable Majyambere’s dissertation is 'Multi lingual drafting of legislation' (supervisors: Prof. Nick Huls and Dr Carel Smith).
On 28 November the two PhD students, together with coordinator Nick Huls, visited the Heineken Experience in Amsterdam.
