Take part in the Student for a Day event at International Relations and Organisations

Would you like to know what it is like to study Political Science with a specialization in International Relations and Organisations (IRO)? Then the ‘student for day’ events are just what you need.

You will spend the day with one of our talented student representatives. They will pick you up on the day of the event at 11:00 in the entrance hall of the Wijnhaven building (Turfmarkt 99, The Hague). The representative will lead the way to a seminar room. There, you will listen to a short presentation about the program structure, what it is like to be an IRO student, to live in The Hague, what are the classes and courses taught, how to master the application procedure, and possible career paths.

After the presentation, at 12:00, it will be time for you to relax and regain some energy while eating the lunch that you brought from home or bought at the student cafeteria. Connect with the other participants and share your first impressions.

Afterwards, the representative will show you around the Wijnhaven Campus. You will see the library, study areas, seminar rooms, computer rooms, the bike garage, the cafeteria and café, as well as the yard, where students have their lunches in summer and relax in the sun!

At 13:00, you’ll walk together to the lecture room (2.01). And then your very first lecture starts! This semester we offer different days, so you can experience the classes Introduction to Comparative Politics (Block 3) and Politics of the European Union (Block 4) The group will sit together in the lecture, and you can either just listen and observe, take notes, or even participate and ask questions to the Professor if you would like to. The lecture and event ends at 15:00.
