We are currently experiencing a network disruption with Odido, which is affecting our mobile phone accessibility. As a result, you may not be able to reach us via the mobile network. We understand this is inconvenient and are working with Odido to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. This page will be updated as soon as we have more information or the issue is resolved.

SOLVED: DDoS attack SURF
Leiden University is currently experiencing network problems due to ongoing attacks on the SURF network used by Leiden University. As a result, certain systems may be poorly accessible or unavailable. The ISSC is working hard to resolve the issues as soon as possible however, in doing so, the ISSC is dependent on the actions of SURF. The ISSC is vigilant and we monitor our environment. Surf will provide updates on a regular basis. The next update is expected around noon.

There is network disruption in all buildings. Connecting to Eduroam is not possible.

SOLVED: Printing not possible
Currently, printing can only be done to Lu-Card printers between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm, printing to other local or network printers is not possible.

SOLVED: Malfunction Weblecture (Mediasite)
Weblectures (Mediasite) in most cases give an error message when played on devices that are connected to the university network. Occasionally, users also receive an error message when playing weblectures on mobile and home networks.

SOLVED: Surfconext malfunction
SURFconext and other SURF services are currently experiencing reduced availability due to a nationwide outage on the SURF network the database is down. As a result, users from all institutions cannot log in to services connected to SURFconext. Meanwhile the problem seems almost under control and services are becoming available again. We will keep you informed here.

Currently there are issues with logging in to Office applications from outside the university network. Users may experience these issues through both the local applications and the web versions of Office products.
