Short CV

LingLing Weng obtained her master's degree in applied psychology at Southwest University (China) in 2016. In October 2017, she started as a PhD student in the faculty of social and behavioral sciences at Leiden University (psychology).

Research

Her PhD research focuses on generalization of placebo and nocebo effects between itch and pain in healthy people. She is curious about the mechanisms underlying placebo effects and nocebo effects in itch and pain, and try to explore common and specific expectation mechanisms in physical symptoms of pain and itch.
