Kiki Twisk is working as a PhD Candidate at the Institute of Criminal Law and Criminology at Leiden University.

She completed her LLM Criminal Law and Criminology (cum laude) and MSc Forensic Criminology at Leiden University.

Research

Since february 2020 Kiki is a PhD Candidate at the Institute of Criminal Law and Criminology. Her research focuses on forensic technical evidence in criminal cases. Her research is part of the research programme Criminal Justice: Legitimacy, Accountability and Effectivity.

Research title: Extending or bridging the gap between forensic experts and participants in criminal proceedings? The appraisal of activity level forensic evidence and communication in criminal cases.  

Education

As a lecturer, Kiki has taught different courses in both the bachelor and master. In addition, she supervises students in writing their bachelor or master thesis.
