Short CV
‘Sex steroid hormones are vital in regulating brain and behavioral development during adolescence.’
Jiska is an assistant professor in the Developmental and Educational Psychology unit of the Institute of Psychology at Leiden University.
She obtained her PhD at the Department of Psychiatry at University Medical Center in Utrecht, where she investigated the role of pubertal hormones and genetics in brain development in early puberty. Jiska received a Veni grant from the Dutch Organisation of Scientific Research (NWO), to investigate the neural and hormonal substrates of impulse control and risk-taking behavior.
