Geremek lecture published
On Wednesday 12 May Dr Ian Buruma held the bi-annual Geremek lecture, entitled “The borders of the West”.
The online event was hosted by prof. Rick Lawson on behalf of Leiden University. The lecture was followed by a panel discussion featuring the Polish Minister for European Affairs, Mr. Konrad Szymański, and Leiden alumna Ms. Anita van den Ende, DG European Cooperation at the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
As a follow-up to the event Dr Ian Buruma has written an article – in Dutch – based on his lecture. It has just been published in the weekly magazine De Groene Amsterdammer. You can find the full text of the article here.
