Van Boom at World Tort Law Society
Recently, Willem van Boom attended the Annual Conference of the World Tort Law Society (WTLS), which was held at Wake Forest Law School (NC, USA; Nov. 15-18, 2017).
The WTLS serves as a platform for worldwide academic exchange of ideas on tort law. All continents and major jurisdictions are represented in the Society. Willem van Boom, who is a member of the Society, addressed the WTLS Members on the topic of ‘Causation’ from a continental European perspective. Moreover, in a separate presentation, he discussed Dutch traffic accident law. Earlier, he submitted a country report to the WTLS on that topic. Also, the WTLS just published its first major publication “Product Liability - Fundamental Questions in a Comparative Perspective” , which also holds a contribution by Willem van Boom.
