Op 10 oktober 2019 verdedigde Janneke Vink haar proefschrift 'The Open Society and Its Animals'. Het promotieonderzoek is begeleid door promotor prof.dr. P.B. Cliteur.

Het Leiden Institute for Brain and Cognition (LIBC) is een Leids Universitair netwerk dat zich richt op wetenschappelijke valorisatie en outreach. Het LIBC maakt zich sterk voor het stimuleren van interdisciplinaire samenwerking op het gebied van hersenen en cognitie.

Op 16 december 2019 verdedigde Jan-Harm de Villiers zijn proefschrift 'The Anthropomorphic Hegemony of Subjectivity: Critical Reflections on Law and the Question of the Animal'. Het promotieonderzoek is begeleid door promotor prof.dr. P. Cliteur.

De Quest For Wisdom Foundation is bezig met het ontwikkelen van de zogeheten 'Animal Wisdom Game': een intercultureel filosofisch spel over dierenwijsheden in verschillende culturen. Docent Louise Müller is betrokken bij dit project.

Ineke van der Ham is een van de genodigde sprekers tijdens de European Workshop of Imagery and Cognition. Ze vertelt hier over de mogelijke toepassingen van ruimtelijk onderzoek bij neuropsychologische patiënten.
