Leiden Institute of Advanced Computer Science (LIACS), Faculteit Wiskunde en Natuurwetenschappen LIACS is looking for:

3 years Lecturer in Technology and Operations Management (Docent 4, 0.6 fte)
Junior teacher position in ICT and Business 

We are seeking applications for a position of Lecturer to teach courses in technology and operations management that are a part of our ICT for Business and Business Studies specialisation programs at the Leiden Faculty of Science. The ideal candidate is an experienced and inspiring educator, proactive, well-organized, a good planner, and a team-player.

Key responsibilities
•    Teaching 3 courses on operations management and systems optimisation, and organize all administration around them;
•    Contributing to the innovation of course material, including exercises and exams;
•    Supervising students and managing internships;
•    Contributing to organizational activities of the Institute.
Selection criteria
•    Master or PhD degree in a field related to technology and operations management (e.g. management, computer science, statistics, mathematics);
•    An excellent track record as an educator in the technology and operations management field;
•    Proficiency in English;
•    Team spirit/collaborative attitude strongly preferred.

Terms and conditions
We offer a fixed-term 0.6 fte junior teacher position (docent 4) for 3 years starting preferably before July 1st 2022. Salary range from € 2,846.- to € 4,490.- gross per month (pay scale 10, for full time appointment), in accordance with the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities). The lecturer may start at the appropriate step in scale 10 depending on the number of years of relevant work experience. Leiden University requires teaching staff to obtain the University Teaching Qualification (UTQ). If the successful applicant does not already possess this qualification or its equivalent, he/she must be willing to obtain this Qualification within two years.
