The Department of Humanities of the University of Pavia will host the Third European Symposium in Celtic Studies from 7 to 9 September 2022. Papers are invited on any aspect of Celtic Studies, including language, literature, history, archaeology and culture from any period. Deadline for submission: 31 March 2022.
The Index of Middle English Prose, of which twenty-three volumes have been published since 1984, now has an online presence at imep.lib.cam.ac.uk. The deadline for abstract submissions for the Conference on Frisian Humantities has been extended: you can submit your research abstract until 15 March 2022.
This workshop aims at fostering and promoting the exchange of ideas on how to edit late antique and early medieval texts (mostly Latin texts, but without excluding possible extensions to the Greek field). Young scholars in particular are encouraged to present case-studies and share the editorial problems and methodological challenges that they had to face in order to fulfil their research or critical editions, in dialogue with more experienced scholars. In de context van het FWO Project "The Social Life of Early Netherlandish Painting" dat wordt geleid door Frederik Buylaert, Jan Dumolyn (beiden Vakgroep Geschiedenis) en Maximiliaan Martens (Vakgroep Kunst-, Muziek- en Theaterwetenschappen) is een driejarige postdoctorale onderzoekspositie beschikbaar. Het doel is een studie van het sociale profiel van opdrachtgevers van schilderijen. Dit project focust op de sociale netwerken die aan de basis lagen van de vroege Nederlandse schilderkunst tussen c. 1400 en c. 1550.
