Yudan Tan (1988) has been a staff member of the Grotius Centre since 3 September 2013 as a Ph.D candidate.
Yudan Tan graduated from Southwest University of Political Science and Law (LLB) in 2010. During her master, Yudan studied comparative law in China-EU School of Law at the China University of Political Science and Law (LL.M.). She also obtained a master degree on European and International law from the University of Hamburg. In September 2013, she started working at Leiden University with Prof. William Schabas and Dr. Robert Heinsch.
During her master programme, she worked as teaching assistant on the course Public International Law.
Her PhD research topic is about the Rome Statute as evidence of customary international law.
