Professional experience

Yixin received her undergraduate diploma in Environmental Ecological Engineering in Chongqing University (China) in 2019, where for her final thesis she studied the influence of potassium on the growth and microcystin biosynthesis of Microcystis aeruginosa.

Later in 2022, Yixin received her MSc degree in ecology at Chongqing University. During that program, Yixin concentrated her research mainly on the ecotoxicology of micro/nanoplastics. Her final thesis investigated the combined toxicity of aged nanoplastics and microcystins on human hepatic cells.

Yixin started as a PhD candidate at the Environmental Biology department of CML in October 2022.
