Xiaoyun Xu is a PHD candidate at LIACS, where he is advised by Dr. A. W. Laarman and Prof. Dr. H.C.M. Kleijn.  

He worked as a research assistant at Chinese Academy of Sciences, Institute of Software (ISCAS) for 2 years before join LIACS. He received his MSc degree from University of Bristol, majored in Advanced computing, and bachelor's degree of Software Engineering from UESTC (University of Electronic Science and Technology of China).
