Vrishali Subramanian’s research aims to develop and adapt environmental assessment methodologies to guide the development of emerging technologies toward safety and sustainability.

Professional experience

Dr. Subramanian is currently a postdoctoral researcher in Industrial Ecology at CML. She obtained her Ph.D. in Environmental Science from University of Venice in developing a multicriteria framework and methodology to integrate Risk Assessment and Life Cycle Assessment for development of nano-enabled products. Vrishali has credentials in both Environmental science and Policy through master degrees in Environmental Toxicology from Texas Tech University and Public Policy at Georgia Tech respectively. Additional professional experience include research, consulting and scientific communication.

Research topic

Vrishali is currently working on a project to implement Safe by Design in emerging technologies by integrating Life Cycle Assessment and Risk Assessment.
