Vasiliki Lagari is student assistant at the Faculty of Archaeology.
I am a MSc student at the Faculty of Archaeology, Leiden University with a focus on Digital Archaeology. My area of specialization revolves around 3D documentation and 3D modeling. I currently work as a project assistant in several projects in Greece under the supervision of Professor Joanita Vroom (Leiden University).
My teaching focuses on 3D digitization of hand-drawn illustrations and their use for further analysis and research (3D reconstruction, accurate measurements, morphometrics). Additionaly, emphasis is also given on how 3d models can be processed within the framework of reverse engineering (3d to 2d).
I obtained my Bachelor degree of Archaeology and History of Art from Aristotle University, Thessaloniki and continued with MA studies focusing on the Hellenistic period (The Alexandria Center for Hellenistic Studies, Egypt).
I am currently a MSc student in Leiden University with focus on Digital Archaeology and Material Studies. I participated as a student in several projects in Greece (Karabournaki, Molykreion) and worked as a 3D technician for Leiden University (supervisor: Dr. Joanita Vroom) and Amsterdam University (4D Research Lab). Since 2020 I have been teaching with Maria Hadjigavriel and Igor Djakovic a course on 3D digitization of hand-drawn illustrations and 3D reconstruction, that is offered via Archon.
