Valentina Caria is a PhD-fellow at the Hazelhoff Centre for Financial Law (Institute of Private Law) as from 1 September 2011.
Valentina Caria obtained her Master’s degree in Philosophy of Law (LL.M in Law, 2011) and Company Law (LL.M in Law 2011) at Leiden University. During her studies she pursued a minor (piano) at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague which she has concluded successfully. As from 1 September 2011 she is a PhD-fellow and junior lecturer at the Hazelhoff Centre for Financial Law.
Valentina Caria is writing a thesis on ethics and financial law. Her research focuses on the position of banks in society and the relationship between financial regulation and ethical values.
Next to her research she teaches in the master courses in the Master Financial Law and in the undergraduate course Philosophy of Law.
