Tom Dijkhuizen (1985) has been connected to the Company Law Department and the Hazelhoff Centre for Financial Law, Institute for Private Law since the 1st of August 2011 as a PhD-Fellow Corporate and Financial Law at Leiden Law School.
Tom Dijkhuizen graduated from Leiden University in the fields of Public Administration (research master, 2009) and Company Law with Financial Law as specialization (2011). Since 2011, he is a PhD Fellow at the Institute for Private Law, Department of Company Law of Leiden Law School
His thesis deals with the corporate governance of financial institutions with a particular focus on shareholders’ rights in listed banks.
Next to his PhD research, Tom Dijkhuizen teaches in the undergraduate course Comparative Corporate law, the IBL course Financial Law, the Orientation course International Business (bachelor IBL) , and the master courses in the Master Financial Law.
