Sandrine Gallois is a Post Doctoral Researcher involved in the Harvest Project, exploring food behaviors among societies from the Congo Basin. She has conducted extensive fieldwork amongst indigenous people in Cameroon and Peru, by taking an interdisciplinary approach, combining concepts and methods related to ethnoecology, cultural anthropology, anthropology of childhood and ecology.

Curriculum vitae

As a Postdoctoral researcher in Ethno-Ecology, I use an interdisciplinary approach to explore the interrelations between human societies and their environment, specifically how humans perceive, use and know their ecosystem in a context of global changes.

After gaining strong skills in Ecology, I led a PhD research in Environmental Science and Eco-Anthropology on the dynamic of ecological knowledge among the Baka, a forager group from the Congo Basin. I brought theoretical and methodological insights for the better understanding of culture dynamics and human-environment relations.
