Ruben Reus is a lecturer at the Institute of Cultural Anthropology and Development Sociology. He has a bachelor Cultural Anthropology and Development Sociology from Leiden University and holds an Msc in Political Geography. For his thesis he conducted fieldwork among small-scale farming groups in Busia, Kenya, assessing the impact of an international development project on farmer participation in value chains.
Ruben is also a board member of the Dutch Anthropological Association (ABv). The ABv is a platform for anthropologists in and/or from the Netherlands that provides an extensive network, maintains a website with non-academic articles and organizes several anthropological events each year.
