The aim of my current research is to reflect on archaeological practice and discourses as a tool for effective policies:
- against discriminatory attitudes towards indigenous peoples and contempt for their worldviews in Mexico
- land use and control inequalities such as expansive urbanization processes
I studied archeology at the Universidad Veracruzana (University of Veracruz). I worked 6 years in the region of Los Tuxtlas in southern Veracruz as a member of the Piedra Labrada Archaeological Project. I completed a master's degree in Social Sciences with a specialty in municipal development at El Colegio Mexiquense. My greatest interest is to make knowledge about our ancestors in Mexico part of the basic education system and of the policies about the conservation of territories.
