Qi Yu graduated in July 2014 with a bachelor degree in Ecology at Northeast Normal University (Changchun city, China). In July 2017, she received her master’s degree in Environmental Science at Dalian University of Technology.

Professional experience

Qi Yu graduated in July 2014 with a bachelor degree in Ecology at Northeast Normal University (Changchun city, China). In July 2017, she received her master’s degree in Environmental Science at Dalian University of Technology (Dalian city, China), focusing on the transformation mechanism and kinetics of pollutants using a combined quantum chemical method and kinetics modeling. She joined the Department of Conservation Biology of Institute of Environmental Science (CML) of Leiden University in September 2017, and is currently undertaking a PhD project on the trophic transfer of nanoparticles in food chain/web.

Research topic

CSC-funded PhD-project - the evaluation of  trophic transfer and biomagnification of different kinds of Me-ENPs in aquatic food chain/web through experiment and modeling method.
