Paul Knol is an inhouse legal counsel at KPN and has been connected to eLaw Center for Law and Digital Technologies as a guest lecturer in Telecommunications law since 2000.
Paul Knol graduated in Civil Law in April 1980 (Leiden University, The Netherlands). Subsequently he was lecturer Civil Law at the same University. He published various articles, was co-author of Dutch commentaries on civil law (on transfer of receivables) and published a monography on Damages for personal injuries.
Since 1986 he is inhouse counsel to KPN, where he has been actively involved in telecommunications regulation since the early 90s. Since 2000 he is also a guest lecturer Telecommunications Law at eLaw@Leideny. He is co-editor of a standard commentary to the Dutch Telecommunications Act (Tekst&Commentaar Telecommunicatie- en privacyrecht, five editions since 2001) and has published articles and reports on various aspects of telecommunications law.
