Parth J Upadhyay is a pharmacist from Australia, graduating in 2013 from the Sydney University, School of Pharmacy. After completing his pharmacy internship at Novartis Australia, Parth returned to Sydney University to pursue postgraduation in pharmaceutics and formulations of anti-cancer agents in 2015, followed by a PhD in the clinical pharmacology of Busulfan under the supervision of Prof. Alan Boddy, Prof. Andrew Mc Lachlan, Dr. Christa Nath and Prof. Peter Shaw. Parth developed skills in PK modelling during his PhD candidature and also participated in several teaching activities for graduate and postgraduate pharmacy and nursing students in Australia.
Parth joined the Knibbe group at the LACDR in November 2018 as a postdoctoral researcher with an aim to continue research in paediatric populations and also gather experience in teaching and research supervision. Currently he is investigating the role of midazolam in the sedation of mechanically-ventilated critically-ill children. During his time in Leiden University, Parth has also supervised one postgraduate research internship and has also been involved in the training of two PhD candidates in PK modelling of antibiotic agents.
