Damilola Ogunsipe is since February 2019 connected to eLaw as a PhD candidate. His areas of expertise include: Telecommunication Law and Policy, Internet Governance, Financial Technology and Telecommunications, and ICT and Competition Law.
Damilola Ogunsipe holds LLB (Hons) and LLM (Hons) degrees from the University of Lagos and the University of Edinburgh respectively. During the course of his study, he specialized in Information and Technology Law as well as the Regulation of International Finance.
Damilola Ogunsipe is a practicing lawyer and works for the Nigerian Communication Commission, providing the requisite regulatory and advisory support in the course of regulating the ICT/Telecommunications industry, especially as it affects Consumer Protection, Competition Law, Access and Interconnection. His areas of expertise include: Telecommunication Law and Policy, Internet Governance, Financial Technology and Telecommunications, and ICT and Competition Law. The title of his research is: ‘Universal Service Obligations Model in the Digital Era: Policy Diffusion and Implementation Challenges’.
