Merinda is a researcher and PhD candidate at the International Institute of Air and Space Law (IIASL) and a member of the teaching staff for the LLM and LLC programmes.
Merinda holds a BA and an LLB from the University of Melbourne and an LLM (Adv) in Air and Space Law from Leiden University. She is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Victoria, Australia. Since September 2016 she has been employed as a researcher at the International Institute of Air and Space Law (IIASL) at Leiden University.
Research areas and interests
Title research: Territorial jurisdiction and overflight rights
Merinda is the Treasurer of the Alumni Association of the LLM (Adv) Studies Programme in Air and Space Law and a member of the European Air Law Association (EALA) and the Aviation Law Association of Australia and New Zealand (ALAANZ). She was also the managing editor of the Kluwer journal of Air & Space Law from 2016 to 2019.
