Maximilian Scheuplein is a doctoral candidate at the Institute of Education and Child Studies at Leiden University. His research focuses on understanding the complex interplay between social and neurobiological mechanisms that aid resilience in young people with a history of childhood adverse experiences. He is supervised by Anne-Laura van Harmelen and Marike Liem and is part of the Social Resilience and Security Programme.
Short CV
Maximilian completed his BSc in Psychology at Goethe University Frankfurt (2017) and his MSc in Cognitive Neuroscience at University College London (2018). Before moving to the Netherlands, he worked at the University of Oxford and New York University to investigate the neural and cognitive mechanisms underlying age-related changes in learning and decision-making.
