Marieke van der Zwan
Marieke van der Zwan is a Research and Education Assistant at the Institute for Security and Global Affairs.
Marieke has obtained a master degree in Crisis and Security Management from Leiden University, where she wrote her thesis on the role of front line workers in the detection and prevention of radicalisation. Marieke has also organized the national congress of public administration which centered on the role of the central government in governing security in the digital information society. In addition, she has been actively involved in re-developing and teaching in the master’s course Local Security Networks (Crisis and Security Management) and coordination of the minor Terrorism and Counter-Terrorism at The Hague University of Applied Sciences.
