More information about Larissa Koupriouchina

I have started my PhD research in the early spring of 2011. I am analytical, structured and passionate about application of scientific findings in real-life, and I enjoy the combination of conducting research, giving lectures, and coaching students. Through my PhD project I hope to gain new insights and classroom topics to create up-to-date advanced courses, resulting in successful training of future revenue managers and gain understanding of the customers’ profile information impact on RM performance. My research aims to innovate hotels’ understanding of customers and to build closer ties between traditionally “hands-on” oriented industry and research community.

This project contributes to the academic debate about why revenue management professionals override automated forecasting systems and whether this positively contributes to financial performance. Answering the research questions will help to gain insights into the interaction between RM professionals and the RMS and how trust, behaviour, and attitude affect accuracy and consequently financial performance.
