I am interested in the cultural and political connotations in voices, sounds, and soundscapes, as well as how human
beings are modulated by and interact with voices, sounds, and soundscapes. These dynamics are exemplified and amplified by metal music that organizes conventionally considered "unpleasant" and "noisy" voices and sounds, and consciously or unconsciously comments on and criticizes the contemporary world through distorted voices and sounds.
