Teaching/Research Staff Member
J.A.M. (Julijan) Vermeer is a research straff member of the Caribbean Research Group. He was trained as an archaeologist at Leiden University (BA, 2010), and later earned his MA (2012) at Ghent University, specializing in geoarchaeology and geomorphology. His master thesis was published in the peer-reviewed journal Earth Surface Processes and Landforms (2015).
In the ERC Synergy-Nexus 1492 project Vermeer supports archaeologists in their understanding of archaeological contexts and the environment of the past by investigating site formation processes.
