I combine fieldwork, morphology, microscopy and molecular phylogenetic and genomic techniques to study the taxonomy, evolution and diversification of Fungi. The current focus is on several species-rich genera, such as Mycena, Lactarius and Cortinarius. I am also involved a project that aims to characterize the soil microbiome of city trees.
