Jonas D.A. Hock is a PhD candidate on the ERC consolidator project FEATHERS at the Leiden University Centre for the Arts in Society.
As part of the FEATHERS project, my research investigates the secretaries of King James VI./I. By analysing their influence on the king's English language scribal correspondence, my research explores the professional relationship between secretary and patron, analyses the king’s authorship, and works to create a working definition of the early modern secretary.
