Henk Marsman is a dual PhD candidate at Leiden University Dual PhD Centre. Working title thesis: ‘Freedom of Digital Identity – Fairness and Justice in the Digital Society through the Enablement or Deprivation of Capabilities‘.
Drs. Henk Marsman has a MSc from Tilburg University in Information Systems Science, Department of Economics. He is a pre-PhD candidate at the DPC (FGGA). His interests include digital identity, national identity management systems, civil registration, digital society, human rights, theories of justice, e-law, and technology, which he aims to tie together in research on a study of capabilities impacted by digital identity initiatives and how these promote or diminish individual freedoms and rights, starting in 2022.
